About Colin
Aside from his fantastic family, reading great books, surfing and swimming in the ocean, cooking and then eating homemade food, and riding around on rusty bikes, Australian Illustrator Colin loves making art.
Using both traditional and digital techniques, Colin specialises in making children’s picture books. He is totally fascinated by humanity’s ability to imagine stories and bring them to life using words and images. This fascination, coupled his own imagination, fuels the narrative in his own illustrations. As well as a skilled illustrator, Colin is also an award-winning sculptor and an accomplished life drawing artist. He draws on his experience in these disciplines to deliver compelling and engaging picture book characters. Colin has studied children’s book illustration at the London Art College, where he was awarded a distinction. He has also illustrated for the statewide primary school publication - The School Magazine NSW.
